is annual general meeting?
It is a meeting of
shareholders of a company which has to be convened once every year or
not later than 15 months from the last general meeting

Any meeting of

shareholders attend general meeting?
Yes they should as
this is the only occasion when they can questions the management of the
company on policies or decisions taken.
If
a shareholder wishes to vote in a general meeting but is unable to
attend the meeting in person, can a representative attend on his behalf?
Yes, that shareholder
may do so by appointing a person as his proxy to attend and vote on his
behalf.
Can
anyone be appointed as a proxy?
Some
companies require that a proxy must
be a shareholder of the company. If a non-shareholder is appointed as a
proxy then he must be a advocate and solicitor or a company auditor.
