Saving on Stamp Duty When Acquiring Property.

Did you buy any property from a developer registered with the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia or will be  transferring property to your family members ? The Government of Malaysia has allowed for some saving of stamp duty. There is no reason why you should pay more stamp duty than you are required to.

28 March 2001 to 31 December 2001.

Purchased a completed property from a registered developer

 

1 January 2002 to 30 June 2002.

Purchased a residential house completed/under construction from a registered developer

 

2003.

Transferring a property between parents and child or husband and wife
